I decided to use google maps and see who analyzes the gait of runners. Not many running shops claim to offer the service in suburban areas.
Several New York City shops claim to use advanced video and software equipment to analyze your gait. Anyone have a good experience with this?
Then there's one in Philadelphia which claims to analyze gait, but doesn't say how it does.
Has anyone actually benefited or fixed their stride from selecting the right equipment based on this?
Or should one take the cynical view that such an analysis is simply a marketing ploy?
It would suck to travel to New York City then figure out that I know more than the shoe salesmen who are "advising" me.
