the international mile will almost certainly have better people than the nationl 1500.

even the national 1500 has better runners than montoya.

they should put montoya in the national 1500 NOT the international mile.

Saarel is done for the season, probably on strict instructions from Wetmore.

Why would Wetmore care about one mor race? Give the kid a chance.

In all likelihood, he will not be a top 20 guy in XC.

I want see both of these guys in it. Maybe bS turned it down and the invite went to BM.

He wants to run a sub-4 mile. If he runs a 4:00 mile, he will have people to run with, so that's not a worry. But also, he can't run a sub-4 mile if he's entered in the 1500, because the 1500 isn't a mile.

I think Saarel should do this because he would likely break 4:00 and it would increase his market value in the future.

he should forget about the Buffs, to be a Wolverine at Michigan and be a great track star in the future. Wetmore

cares little for Track will get him injured.

I'm guessing he meant he'll run faster than Alan Webb will run NOW. Which would actually be somewhat realistic, except Webb is doing the 1500, not the mile, so I wouldn't call it fair to compare them.

Why Montoya instead of Saarel, because the former will be able to say on the starting line, "Hello. My name is Bernie Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

Honestly, I really hope they add Saarel to the mix. He blew the doors off Montoya at the Dream Mile, and I really think he's in 3:57-3:58 shape right now. That being said, if Montoya's in better shape than the Dream Mile race indicated, I could see him going 3:59.

Would be great to see Ben Saarel in the race too; regardless, the Mile wins!
