My vote: Nike Streak 4 - light, yet cush.

Agreed! Light but still have plenty of cushioning. Snug fit but are comfortable and don't tear up your feet.
Adida Adios
Make that Adidas Adios.
I'm still going through a stock pile of the old ones though. Can't speak for the newer versions.
For those suggesting the LunaRacer 3: How do they compare with the original LunaRacer? I liked the originals, but they'd always rub my heel pretty bad. I remember seeing several people on here have the same complaint.
This shoe! Think about it, Sell and Desi both made the Olympic team with this shoe!
I'm looking into that Adios. Seems like a good shoe
The original Adios was brilliant. A little more forgiving than the 2, which is still great in its own right.
The Saucony A5 is a little less shoe, but should be solid for marathon day. The NB 1400 is also worth checking out. Pretty old school, but nothing is smoother.
NB1400
Another vote for the Adidas Adios.
However, I just ran Boston in the Mizuno Wave Ronin, and those held up very well. I only got those because my old Adios were done, and I got a great deal on the Ronin's. So I guess I vote for the Ronin's as well.
x2 for NB1400 definitely better (less mushy) than Kinvara 3; comparable to original Lunaracer in terms of ride.
Original Lunar racers blistered the hell out of my achilles tendons. I just ran Boston in the Lunar Racer 3 and had no problems. The new upper is far superior to the old one.Nike got it right this time.
New Balance 1600. Similar feel to the 1400 but much lighter.
