I am a light runner, about 100 lbs, and I am going to start my mileage buildup phase, but I only have a pair of Nike Frees (5.0) and lunaracers, which I really don't like to do mileage in for shin splint and just lower leg stress reasons and just because I need more cushion. The lunaracers provide protection, but just not a lot of softness in my opinion. I had the lunarglide 3's, but now they just aren't very soft after about a year.
I also midfoot strike in my frees, but it's mainly because of the flexibility and minimalism of them.
I don't have any issues with pronation, all I care about is non-clunkiness, so lets take the pronation factor out of the picture now.
What I am mainly looking for is a cushiony shoe that doesn't feel like it will weigh me down, but has cushioning that is more than the above shoes and whose foam will not change in hotter conditions.
I don't really care about price, I have found the two shoes for the same cost on another website.
So which is a better buy as far as cushioning for light runners like me who won't compress the shoe as much?
