Sometimes, I feel like people think they should be athletes first and students second.

Oh my god! I laughed water out of my nose! Just keep in mind the fab five of michigan and patrick ewing. These are not college students. Bill Bradley and Princeton were probably the most recent final four college students, in 1965.

The OP asks a legit question, and you dismissed it based merely on two examples both over 20 years old.
I worry that going to class might prevent them from living their dream
The answer is, no, I don't worry that they won't have enough time to study. A dedicated student will study on the plane ride, before and after practice, and any other time that they have free, which is plenty.

Clearly you aren't much of a student yourslf. For most schools it's spring break. Would you rather they be in Ft Lauderdale, Padre Island or Lake Havasu?
Nice trolling. These idiots don't now the alphabet, much less how to do university class's.
Which begs the question- why does the NCAA even pretend?
No and neither do they. They'll pass on merit.
What is "don't now the alphabet" mean?

The teams in the final 4 have been playing the entire championship series which is much longer than one week. You must have been a honor roll student.
Oh, I get the irony. GRNOF is an oregon grad?
Do you really have to study to pass classes at Wichita State? or Louisville?

A better question: How insecure does a guy need to be to use "Ivy League grad" for a handle. What a douchebag. Jesus.
If I were, I'd be too embarassed to admit it.
You must be too if you think that was the only thing wrong with his post.
Which begs the question- which one of yous guys is more intelligent?
Aaron Craft played in the final four last year and he was just named the Capital One academic all american of the year in Division 1 basketball. 3.92 GPA (pre-med)
Do you every worry that the teams in the Final Four won't have enough time to study for their classes?
Yes I do worry for them. Just last night, I couldn't sleep trying to figure out how they were going to handle all the stress of it. Sure the stars with future NBA careers will be OK, but what about the others?
Prestigious universities hire sewer rats for coaches who then recruit imbeciles to wear the schools' colors. Money is generated, alums are happy, and everyone pretends this is good.
Rat face looking coachK. Why does Duke get all the most despised jerks?
