Pretty sick.
Can someone tell me why he'll run for Turks & Caicos this year but GBR in 2016? Is it as simple as money?
Britain may be winning some sprint medals in 2016.

Turks&Caicos has its own IAAF identity but not an Olympic one where, as a colony, it competes under the umbrella of the GBR Olympic Committee.
You do realize that GBR has several home-grown sprinters who have run much faster than this right?
Greg Rutherford ran 10.38 at age 18 and he is a long jumper.
sober up.

I think you missed the 44xx split. GBR does not have several home-grown sprinters at that level.
his future is the 400.
Wow - I guess I have no idea how they went 2:59.53 at the olympic games last year. Even including a leadoff leg - they averaged 44.x.
Yes he will come save the day for the 4x400. Never mind they have losers like Dai Greene (WC gold in 2011 @400h) and martyn rooney (44.60) already on that team.
He will be a nice potential addition to the pool - but nothing close to unseen talent that will bring some kind of unique/medal-grabbing talent to british shores.
His future is probably the 200 and 400. 20.27 is rocking for a 19 year old that hasn't yet learned the technicals of that distance.
The announcers in the video of the race say his split was 45.7 for the 4x4 but mention that he had split 44.8 in the past. While this is very good for a 19 year old I seen some people saying is he the next Bolt? Well Bolt ran 20.13 and 45.3 when he was 16
Here are some stats from the past week.
Wed 3/13
200 Prelims - 21.77
4x1 Prelims - 40.73
Thur 3/14
100 Prelims - 10.95
200 Semis - 20.47
Fri 3/15
100 Semis - 10.41
100 Final - 10.28
Sat 3/16
200 Final - 20.27
4x1 Final - 39.92 (2nd)
4x4 Final - 3:09.21
IF you watch the 100 final and the 4x1 you will see an amazing gear at the end of the races (actually its probably that he is not decelerating and the other guys are so visually it looks like he is changing gears. It is pretty damn impressive.
His 44.xx split was at the Gibson relays at the end of February. Munro ran 3:11 in that race.

Not so fast:
10 6.54 Marvin BRACY 15 DEC 1993 (19) USA 1 Fayetteville, AR 08 FEB 2013
That is, if we can keep him from being ruined by football.
10th fastest time in the world indoors for Bracy at about the same age.
Britain has a nice young core of group of guys. Williams, Gemili, Ujah, and Bolarinwa.
The depth in the US and Jamaica is ridiculous but these young Brits are going to be around for a bit.

How are the other three 'plastic Brits'?

Just like Bernard Lagat- though he is even worse.
Watched that Delano Williams race, then clicked on some of the girls races and wow - Kimone Shaw 11.75 class 4 (age >13)! the commentator said she was better than VCB at the same age! There'll definitely be some amazing athletes coming out of the Caribbean in the next few years..
Amazing to see these high school championships.. here in the UK I did some 200m county stuff at age 15, with a time of 24.0 in the 200, without training or blocks, but to see the winner win in 22.7, even if a year older, is a wow moment.. I was like warren weir being passed by bolt at 50m around the bend haha. enough to tell you no amount of training would let you catch that kind of speed up! I just missed out on nationals in the 100m at age 13, to kids with blocks, and so it is interesting to see how competition spurs all these youngsters on.
Clearly his best event is the 800m
