Any knowledgeable individuals out there care to venture a guess? Personally, I don't believe it.
Thanks!

Only when the shoes are delivered on Southwest Airlines to a hotel with a free breakfast. Otherwise, it's really free shipping.
Can't you tell by comparing the price of the shoes to other sources. Running Warehouse generally has some of the best prices, best service and most liberal return policy of anyone. Joe Rubio and his staff do a great job and to finally answer your question, yes the shipping is free and fast if you live in California.
runningwarehouse

i concur on the quick shipping in CA. i placed an order on a tues afternoon and my stuff showed up on wed before noon.

But is that breakfast really free?
I ordered 2 pairs of Nike Glide 4 on Monday and had them on Thurs. $52 on sale!
They never charge more than suggested retail and often times less. So yes the shipping is free.
Great service too, I live in Cali and get my stuff the day after I order.
Nice little retail store in San Luis Obispo too so if you are ever driving the 101 you should check it out. There is a nice half marathon in the fall that they sponsor that is worth checking out as well.
It is not built in the price. If they advertise "Free Shipping" the we cannot charge them. Ask the guy who delivers your shoes and he will tell you.

This is true. I use to work for FedEx and it was the same way. The US Postal Service still charges companies that provide free shipping and they lose a lot of business because of it. This is why the Post Office is in such crummy financial shape.
Running Warehouse generally charges the same prices as my local specialty running stores. They are only cost competitive when you want shoes that are on the verge of being replaced with a new year/model. But, running warehouse does not have to pay for a brick and motor store in a fancy part of town, does not have to pay sales associates and cash register folks. Running warehouse gets better deals with manufacturers because of its purchasing power. So, they certainly are recovering the cost of shipping in the price.

Apparently you don't know all that much about Running Warehouse. They are a "brick and mortar" store with sales associates, rent and all the associated overhead, located in San Luis Obispo, CA. Joe just happened to put together an outstanding mail order system also. He works hard with manufactures to get the best prices and passes them on. They also work to find discontinued models that were popular, buys at a good price and sells at a bargain. Recent example is the ASICS Piranha 3, now for only %54
