Has anybody got a chance to try these out yet? Looks like a solid update but I want to hear some opinions before I shell out the cash.

Way different than the first one. More like the Brooks Launch.
I work at a running store and we carry them. Most of our staff despise them - they fit kind of awkward. Personally, they gave me a lot of pressure on the outer part of my foot, and I actually found them painful to run in. I did sell a pair the other day to someone who loved them.
The first one was absolutely horrible. They were stiff and the upper was cheap and clearly not intended for runners. The update is better. The midsole/outsole is more flexible. They are still stiffer than the free, and perhaps a little more flexible than the kinvara. The upper is better, but still a little cheap with too many overlays. They are intended for midfoot strikers, who will land on the lateral side of the foot before "naturally" pronating. I'd say they are moving in a good direction.
The upper on the last one looked cheap, but the real problem was that the overlays on the toe box would scrunch up and poke the top of my foot during toe off. Other than that, I thought it was a great alternative to the kinvara.
The update, to me at least, looks heavier and has harder rubbers on the outsole. I assume this is to increase the durability of theshoe by protecting the midsole, but I am wondering if this also increases the weight of the shoe, along with the more complex upper.
Anyone have a link to the specs of the shoe (weight, new features, heel-toe ratio)?

Runningwarehouse has it at just over 8 ounces with a 7mm heel toe drop

The first one: eh. Not great. The new one: awesome. Try it on. Better in every way.
Runner's World measured it at 4 mm drop and 8.4 ounces. That's a little heavier than the first version, but the forefoot is much more flexible. The upper still needs some work.

I'm interested in giving these shoes a spin. I've heard good things. I have a buddy that ran a half in them last weekend (1:18)and said they were great.
Bump to get any new input
I've only run in mine twice, so far i'm impressed. They feel like a beefier version of my hyper speed 4's with a softer sole. I wouldn't race in them but will use them for my daily trainer
