She's done beating up on professionals indoors.
This year.
Us track is in a piss poor state if she is already winning national championships.
Or she's just that good.
Or the big 1500m dawgs have yet to come out to play.
She was no match for Sheila Reid. She will be no match for Rowbury, Uceny and Simpson either.
"All the talk of "

Anyone know her legit height/weight: My guess would be 5'5, 115 lbs?
I think she's got more to give. Some modest weight training, a consistent base and some sharpening up for key meets should help her produce at a higher level.
Combine this for her natural racing talents and desire for improvement and the future looks pretty promissing.
Geez, just dusted them over the last lap. Just saw it on NBC sports.
+1
Missy Franklin went to the Olympics and dominated and she is in high school. Why can't you clowns be happy that someone in running is doing the same. Missy is extremely marketable, still in high school, and world class. Now someone in our sport does it and you all complain. You are what is wrong with our sport. Jump on the band wagon and hope that Cain get's national attention and maybe the US will take a second look at track.
There's just the fact that she has a lot to prove before you can make outlandish Missy Franklin comparisons. For instance, she can start by hitting the standards that can bring her to Moscow. Mary Cain has not proven that she is world class.

She'll match Uceny. She'll throw her an elbow and down goes Uceny.
Who cares if she is not 100% world class just yet. She just won a US Championships! This is what's wrong with running in the USA. If other sports have a top US athlete at a young age, it's all over ESPN. Who care's if they are world class, they are US class. The rest of America could care less how some skinny east african or russian girl is running. They only care about US stuff. Put more of it on TV, pump it up! Maybe more people will actually watch or care about our sport!!!
Fake nationals.
The best stayed home.
Mary Cain is done! Just last month she ran a 4:28, but yesterday she could only manage a 5:05! At this rate, she'll be unable to break 6 minutes by mid April!
I hope you know that by simply mentioning her in the same breath as Uceny, Simpson, and Rowbury means she may be the best high schooler of all time. It's like saying, "that kid is smart, but I believe Einstein may give him a run for his money."
Mary Cain is done.. whooping all those "professionals" @ss.
Does she wear those lame arm warmers? Nope - didn't think so - Teg you are a pu#sy!

Yes.
Uceny is the Einstein of the mile.
Not quite done yet.
And she is not the first HS girl to win a US Women's Sr. Championships.
In the middle 70's there were many more good high school girls, running times
on smaller track that would be comparable or better than today's h.s. athletes.
they were not hard to find: Decker (CA), Weston (NV), Keyes (PA), Campbell (DC),
Forman (MA) were all in the top places at US Women's Champs. And they did not get the big press they get now. They all ran on 160 yard 4 lane banked wooden
tracks.
Those were the good old days.
May actually be done growing if she trains enough to hinder her development...
In any case, I thought the other women in the race were shameful. Scared of a high schooler-- my ___. Even if you set the pace and lose, at least you can hold your head up high...
