Don't you have other things to do? Why don't you mind your own business?

If you don't find it intersting, why did you take the trouble of starting a thread about it?

Why did you read and reply to it?
Unlike your post, there is nothing hypocritical about mine.

What case? What happened? How did you know there is a "case" if you had other things to do more important than noticing that there is a "case" against him - whoever he might be.

Are you not very smart?
OJ Simpson was huge as well.
It involves the many of the biggest aspects of life since the beginning in time.
1) Sex
2) Love
3) Beauty
4) Money
5) Politics (gun control/crime/disability)
Throw in society's most recent obsession with Celebrity.
Throw in a ruined life that had such promise too. This has all the qualities of a human interest story.I don't normally hook into sensationalism (I think Nancy Grace should be put out to pasture), but this case is at least a little interesting, especially for fans of track and field.Judge, it IS just the first day of this really. I doubt we will all be talking about it much after the impending trial is done.

As humans we enjoy when other people goes through tragedy and missfortune.Especially when there is a celebrity involved.
That's why this one is so interesting
seems like all "Oscars" become tragic figures:
Oscar Pisorius
Oscar De La Hoya
Oscar Wilde
Oscar Hammerstein
Oscar Madison
Oscar de la Renta
Oscar Neiemeyer
Oskar Shindler
though Oscar Robertson turned out okay
I am glad I am not named Oscar
You left out "Mayer Weaner".
Oscar the Grouch is cool. He's comfortable in his own skin. That little trophy Oscar is well loved. People who receive him are always happy.
Oscar from the Office...He participates in adultery
Oscar the dog on Curb Your Enthusiasm died an untimely death too.
Oscar Ponce

... last but not least *The Fascination of Crime*. Probably the crucial point, Mr. Smarty.
It's not that interesting. It's just being shoved down our throats by the media. I think the guy deserves life in prison whether the murder was premediated or not. If it wasn't premeditated, he deserves life for being so irresponsible with his guns and steroid/alcohol abuse.
Because it activates competing, but strongly held, moral intuitions about justice - the fear of seeing an innocent person punished vs seeing a guilty person go free. Whichever has more moral valence for you, more so than the evidence, is going to decide how you intuitively evaluate the case before any evidence is in.
It isn't. Thousands OF WHITES are slaughtered each year in South Africa by Blacks. Entire families slaughtered. Zero Press Coverage in the U.S.
