I'm running the 400, 800, and 1600. My main event is the 800, so whatever spikes I get have to complement that distance. Any suggestions?

OG vics. The answer is always OG vics.
I believe, but may be wrong, that a big thing in spikes is if there is any heel padding.
For example, Victory Track Spikes and Victory XC Spikes differ in the notion that the XC spikes have heel padding for heel striking opposed to the track spikes which consist mainly of a forefoot plant zone.
In track you're most likely running faster than you would XC. At around 4:40 mile pace, your foot plant transitions from a defined heel strike to a midfoot or forefoot strike. The track spikes have a prominent forefoot plant zone, which is mainly due to this variance in where you strike. (Thus, Victory spikes are utilized at their full potential when racing under 4:40.) You can look at track spikes online and see this significant forefoot plant zone.
In XC, you're most likely running slower, or over 4:40 mile pace, which means a heel pad is beneficial as you tend to heel strike more often at slower paces. Combine this heel striking with the variances of terrain on an XC course and the XC spikes heel pad comes into play.
This is why Nike may recommend the Victories for 800M, 1600M, 3200M and even 5K because you're running fast enough for forefoot plant. However, from my experience, the Matumbo's are popular for 10K running due to it's slower nature.
This is an incredibly vague hypothesis on my part, and may be wrong, but this is what I've conjectured from my relative experiences.
Hopefully you can run an 800M faster than 2:20 pace (4:40 mile pace) and you can shoot for the Victory track spikes.
What are 'OG' Victories?
Doesn't it depend on your individual fit rather than just the distance you're running? For the cost of some expensive spikes you could get a few pairs of cheaper ones online (and maybe even return some?) and it would increase the odds that one is a good fit for you.
Also, props to you for trying three events.
Original Gangsta of course you idiot
Get the Saucony Endorphin MD. Better than Victory: lighter, better upper, more responsive and aggressive which is beneficial for you if you also run the 400. Best spike ever made.

+1
I agree with him. The MD3 is better, more aggressive, more rigid so your up on your toes more, and I've heard mixed stories about the weight, some say its 3.0, some say its 3.2, some say its 3.4, and same thing with the Saucony LD3.
