Yea, but way way off the WR.
Did not know he was shooting for a WR. I sure hope he knows that if he doesnt run a WR everytime out, he sucks
That puts him around 2:15, maybe 2:14 high outdoors.
Here is our recap:
http://www.letsrun.com/news/2013/02/robby-andrews-just-misses-american-indoor-1000-mark/
We have equated today's run to a 1:46.02 for 800 and 3:37.91 for 1,500.
Did he do a sprinter lean at the line? If not, he should have done one!
Nice job Robbie! Man it's been fun to be an American (and world) track & field fan for the last few years, thanks in no small part to Lets Run. Kudos
That's an excellent run from Nick Guarino, too. For those that don't know him, he was the double 800/1500 champ outdoors in d3 two years ago (from SUNY Fredonia), and has PRs somewhere around 1:47.high and 4:02i, but was pretty much completely off the map last year.
Has run 1:51 and 4:04 so far this indoor season, so 2:20 in a k is a step up.
C'mon guys ask the question. Terrible to near AR in a week. He's all doped up. Adidas and Nike now sharing the same PEDs.
Hopefully this shows Robbie and Vig that he is not a Miler, or even a 1500 guy. He is an 800 runner and should focus on making the world team in the 800 this year, not the 1500 like last year. Who else is hoping for a Robbie v Cas battle this outdoor season.

What drug makes you go from terrible to AR in one week in a short distance like the 1k? Idiot

I think long term Robbie clearly is a 1500 guy (who can still be very competitive at the 800). What this season (and last) so far show me is that he's yet to become remotely consistent or reliable in the 1500/mile. He needs to learn to race it. Plus last week was something of a fluke anyway, but last year's racing shows he's not a savvy 1500 guy yet.

Trolling is just too easy.
no one's a savvy 1500 guy, even the WR holder got his a$$ handed to him in several Olympics.
Probably the toughest event on the track to actually win as its a combination of everything.
lol flotrack hyping yet another missed record attempt. andrews wasn't even close!
Equivalent to a 1:51 800 or a 17:55 5K
