I heard Gebrselassie and Gebregziabher are the actual people to worry about.

Don't forget philanthropist GebreGeorgis or former president GebreKidan!

I read the analysis provided. While GebreHiwot has not beaten GebreMeskel - I think given his relative youth and inexperience we should expect him to step up a little bit more.
This year he won the great ethiopian run in a very easy fashion... and blew the doors off! some guy that was dominating local races. He was basically jogging.
Assuming that he maintained his fitness from November... i think he is the true threat.. It will be a really exciting race.
Thanks for shaing that info about the Great Ethiopian run. I had forgotten about it.
We did make a mistake in our preview which is now corrected.
This isn't the first indoor race of Gebrhiwot's life. Actually, he ran Boston last year and was only 4th in 7:44.08 (winning time 7:38.29). Then a month later in March, he was only 4th at the U-20 African XC champs. Given his less than stellar early year results last year, we are hesitant to pick him this year.
So even more reason to believe if he wins, WATCH OUT.
