I seem to recall that she had a falling out with her PT, Gerard Hartmann at some point, after which her injuries became a huge issue and her career went into decline. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Great read here:http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/athletics/9703722/Paula-Radcliffe-admits-foot-injury-may-have-ended-career-as-an-elite-runner-for-good.htmlThe article reveals her most recent surgery which resulted in her foot being immobilized for 10 weeks will require maybe 8 months of rehab and London 2013 is out, but the good news is she's not giving up and is hoping to come back for London 2014. It's clear running is a big part of her life as shown by this quote:
Paual Radcliffe said:[/b
"Some of the pain will be better but I don’t know whether I’ll be able to get back to elite level, but the alternative was not being able to run, even recreationally. That’s why I wanted to try it."
A second article entitled "Just to run with my kids would be enough, admits Radcliffe after triple operation" can be found here:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/othersports/article-2238857/Paula-Radcliffe-wont-retire-yet.html?ito=feeds-newsxmlShe is going to have to relax her form if she wants to train at a high level. Lands on her toes, and has excessive motion in the head and shoulders.
why do you care about EPO users ??
Just retire gracefully you don't have to competete you don't compete anyways.
Paula is crazy for not competing any race not even in london marathon 2013 next year.
Paula actually thinks she could medal. She is crazy.

Moron.
Paula ran 2:23:46 in 2011 in Berlin as her comback race. 3rd place in London was 2:23:29. Of course she would have been a thread for that bronze medal had she been healthy.

Too late. Adjusting to a better form takes years and would likely cause a few minor injuries along the way (speaking from experience).
Had she done this at young age, she could have become the greatest Marathoner of all times. Oh, wait...

It's called supination and it's her natural running style.
this is not runners world wrote:

Landing on your toes is not necessarily supinating. She definitely does not supinate - she's up on her toes and actually slightly abducted. It's unsustainable at an older age if she wants log the number of miles necessary to regain her old form. Very few people can run marathon-type miles the way she did without injury. Younger folks can get away with it, but all her foot problems likely stem from her aggressive footstrike and older age. It is not too late for her to learn to relax it into more of a midfoot strike.
Yeah, seriously, Paula's form sucks and holds her back. Just like Michael Johnson's. Could you imagine how fast these people could be if they listened to anonymous posters on LetsRun? You'd think they or their coaches would know better, but it's their loss.

She's 38 years old, runs like a sprinter for entire marathons, and has a history of foot injuries...
She is obviously extremely athletic, and this was likely a major advantage and contributing factor to her world record time. This was obviously fine at the time.
But that was 10 years ago and she has had several stress fractures and several foot injuries since. I never said she should overhaul her form, the word is used was "relax." Just a suggestion.
Read the article Rojo posted... her feet were incredibly messed up. She had cracked cartilage in her MT joint and a stress fracture that healed improperly and ended up fusing two bones together. I'd say it's time to tweak the form a bit. Just my opinion.
We saw how Paula does when the race is slow and tactical like 2008 olympics finishing 23rd. The race is slow. Paula never runs with a big pack of runners except olympics..

Paula's best times and WR unfortunately coincides with Lance's epo wins. Why would anyone expect that she was doped? There was never an investigation and she has never tested positive.

Paula and Michael weren't the greatest athletes in their field because of their form. They were DESPITE it.
who?
