I am wondering what new shoe to get for training. Right now I'm running in the Saucony A5 and I love them, but they are wearing down and I want to try something new. I prefer lightweight minimal type trainers. Any suggestions?

I prefer UA's defend training shoes http://www.underarmour.com/shop/us/en/mens-ua-defend-training-shoes/pid1231456-02. They're pretty lightweight, though I've never used Saucony A5s, so I can't speak to how they compare. They do have great support, which is something I always need, though they might not be as minimalist as you're looking for. If you want something really light you could also try something like Vibram FiveFingers.
