Which would be the best racing flat for the Marathon? I do heel strike.
Which would be the best racing flat for the Marathon? I do heel strike.
i have them both. i prefer the ronin but since you heel strike, go with the 1400. but if you didn't have to choose between those 2, i would go with the nike zoom streak 3/4. oh, and 1 quick advice for you: change to midfoot strike.
midfoot strike will make you have shorter strides but after you multiple your turnover rate, it should still be faster than heel striking
bump that. if you heel strike, definitely the 1400's.
the ronins are way to hard for that.
Both are very good. The Ronin if you want a little more responsive ride. The 1400 if you want a little softer ride. Personally, I keep going back to Mizuno.
Thanks for all the feedback. Thought maybe I would throw the Nike Flyknit racer into the mix. Anyone have experience with those? How would it compare to the NB 1400/Mizuno Ronin?
Well, they are certainly more expensive.
Do your long runs in whatever shoe you want to wear for the marathon. Get a second pair of whatever is your favorite. Use those for the marathon.
