what does it mean for the team that came in second?
Ducks Win! Ducks Win! Ducks Win!
so if the oregon women win the cross country title on saturday it will be only 2 days after the track team won their title, it has to be the shortest span for a school win a track and cross country title. (if it happens).
Yes, except for the fact that it will be pretty much impossible for anyone to get past the Noles this year.
When UTEP was stripped of its XC title one year, Wisconsin, the runner-up was not awarded the title (thus, Wisconsin really has six titles, not five, adding one more during the Hacker I era)
it won't happen, just taking away point isn't the entire issue. some athletes did not make finals cause the LSU cheater was in the race..
Generally when the ncaa vacates a title they do not award it to the 2nd place team. Florida men lost out on a couple when Arkansas was put on probation.
Vacating does not mean the 2nd place team gets the trophy.
I get concerned when these things happen. When an ingredient is intentionally left off it seems problematic. Of course avoiding this crap is the best plan.
There needs to be a lawsuit over this--not listing ingredients. I think a couple have already been won.
lol, i knew LSU was cheating, half those women looked like Patrick Ewing.

Usually it just stays vacated. Florida's men didn't get titles for the years Arkansas had to vacate.

3rd in 100 and 5th in the 200. Also won the 4x1. They probably could have gotten 2nd in the 4x1 without her.
She was also a semi finalist in the 100 and finalist in the 200 in London.
I CAN NOT understand why if she tested positive in June it takes until November to get this sorted out. There is NO excuse for this taking 5 months!

How long does it take to drug test one person?
I'm not saying it *should* take this long, but there are good reasons not to make a final ruling until all samples have been tested and appeals looked in to.
Think about athletes who have their reputations permanently tainted by A sample positives that cannot be verified.
Best to be good and certain rather than sacrifice accuracy for speed.
Isn't that her second positive test for stimulants. I thought she had one in 2011 as well....
That's why I don't feel much sympathy for her. She was banned for 6 months for testing positive for the same exact drug at the Trinidad and Tobago championships in September. Her ban ended in mid March, and in early June she tested positive for methylhexaneamine again at the NCAA Championships, costing her team the championship. Makes you shake your head...
