Running is really hard on the knees. If you want to have trouble walking when you're older, run a lot when you're younger.
This is totally wrong. The people with the most problems with their knees later in life were those that were the least active and ran the fewest miles.

It's damages your knees in the same way exercise damages muscles. They sustain some damage and then repair themselves and become slightly more resilient.
Avoiding injury is a matter of common sense.
I give running two thumbs up. I vote "Yes" for running. Running remains a well-regarded athletic endeavor in my book. I prefer running to other athletic endeavors because of the positive and beneficial benefits with which it regularly supplies me as I purse running regularly.
