As if we don't know you are competing in cross country when you wear the uniform? I see it in mostly high school uniforms, but some colleges have been guilty of it as well. It is freaking dumb in my opinion.

no
but i don't think it's dumb when you wear that t-shirt that says "TOOL" on it either
we had piss yellow jerseys with a white strip across the front with the typical runner images running across it. Above, it read School Name, Track and Field. We wore them for cross country. They weren't ideal
Is there some rule that you should only put absolutely essential information on your uniform?
Anyhow, that XC with an arrow thing is traditional, so I would say not dumb.
No, not the cc with an arrow. I mean school name and then XC.
No, I don't. What I think is dumb is when you put your team nickname and no school name.
Like Tigers, or whatever.
You're usually at meets with 20+ schools you need your school name to ID you.
My favorite singlet was the one I saw on a woman from (I think it was) Wartburg, during track season. Her singlet featured a large "W," on which--in smaller type--was "WTF."

I had t-shirt that said that on it. Tool's a good band
most pathetic whine ever. why would you even care about this?
you think there's anyone going to the Heat/Celtics game tomorrow who doesn't know who Lebron James is? Would it be 'freaking dumb' if he wore a shirt with his name on the back?

Well, if it said "basketball" it would be "freaking dumb"
That sounds awful.

My point exactly. What other sports say the name of the sport on the jersey? I don't know why people wouldn't think before designing these jerseys and paying a bunch of money to have them made. I guess what I am trying to say is that it is redundant.
