I am looking to buy some light, fast shoes to do my track workouts in. I am a college runner: XC and 400-1500 for track. I have been training in semi-minimalist shoes (reebok realflex, New Balance 1400, brooks pureconnect) for about 2 years now, and just received a pair of Kinvara 3's from my coach. I want to get a pair of shoes to alternate with the Kinvara's for fast 200-1000m repeats on the track.
I was looking at the adiZero Tempo 5's... but I've heard those have a lot of stability. Maybe this isn't the worst thing in the world though...
Other shoes I was looking at:
Newton MV2
Brooks Green Silence (on sale!)
or even another pair of the pure connects
Anyone have any feedback on these shoes? Or any suggestions for minimalist or racing flats that perform well for 800m training?
Thanks so much!
