From his Facebook "Getting my Saturday workout in. Running 6 days a week for the first time and seeing big differences already!". How on earth was he able to compete at such a high level running only five days a week?

All I see is a stalker
Talent.

He runs the 800...
I read once that he doesn't eat very healthy, but a lot of junk. I think he's just massively talented.
However, by running 6 days a week, I think he means that he's starting back up after his break. He probably took a few weeks off after the track season, and he's just getting back into shape.

he could easily have been swimming or xtraining a couple days a week. Or maybe he did sprints that he didn't count as "running" or mileage 2 days a week...
Another dude that will make Nick "American badass" Symmonds look like a douche. I love it.
Pretty sure Symmonds sealed his boss status when he ran a very even 1:42 massive PR in the london olympic final, with an insane last 50m.

Pretty sure they don't give medals for 5th place and PRs.
Pretty sure he is talking about coming back after a break. When he is healthy and training I doubt he runs less than 6 days a week.
pretty sure a 1:42.95 800m is valuable in itself, independently of place.
Jock did not time his peak well this year for USATF and did not improve (or maybe just) his pr despite the added mileage. Maybe this will help. I hope he runs with Johnny Gray as a pro. That sure worked for Duane Solomon.

Pretty sure your a nobody.
Give me a break. Jock basically says he's running 6 days a week for the first time, indicating that he is a huge talent, which we already know. I hope he does great things in the future. Idiot poster comes on to say that Jock will make Symmonds look like an idiot, which is beyond dumb. Even if Jock were to have more success than Symmonds, which is unlikely, how would that make Symmonds look dumb? Did Alan Webb make Steve Scott look like a tool when he got the AR in the mile? I bet Geb felt like a total Dumba$$ when Bekele set the 10k world record.
Spare me.
Why is this surprising?
An 800 runner doesn't need to be running 6x/wk.
Pretty sure that they give medals at U.S. Nats, and many of them are a) gold and b) belong to Nick Symmonds.
Jock is a boss. So is Symmonds. No need to be hatin' on either of these two.
No need to be hatin, but the distance running community is only lovin the 800 when a white dude top American.
Anyone know who's coaching him now? I know he signed with Nike this summer after graduation, but just curious who's training him.
Lol nah, he's saying he increased his training from last year to now run 6 days a week.

I'm curious too.
From stalking his FB, it would seem he is still in Irvine.
He also said he's looking to bulk up - put on 20lbs so he can have more power. I don't think he was joking.
He may have been trolling the LR community, which just KNOWS that if he would train like Peter Snell, Charles could dominate the 800 and chase Rudisha back to the 400.
