You've done an Olympic marathon and New York City back to back before. Are you still weary from London? Are you already back to doing some pretty hard workouts?
Meb Keflezighi:
I am not ready to do hard workouts. I'm recovering okay, but the gravel and the cobblestones of the London course did beat my feet up. The bottom of my feet got aggravated like what I had last year, the blood blister and the infection. I'm fine finally now, but I have not run [since the Olympics]. I've been doing a lot of biking, but the big question is, "Can I get my fitness back like I had at the Olympic Games or at the Trials by November 4?" And I believe that I can do it. The feet are mending. I was hurting pretty bad. I even had to get a wheelchair at Heathrow Airport because my feet got so beat up.
Isn't he sponsored by CEP? I was about to run a marathon in some and now I'm thinking twice about it. CEP seems to have great compression values in their products, but how are they as an actual sock? Does anyone experience blisters or hotspots? Most of my runs have been on soft surface, and now I'm wishing I had tested them out on the roads.
