Hey Nikeman,
I was wondering if you can share any information on the next version of the Lunaracer, due early 2013, correct? Thanks.

they are adding the flyknit upper to it? isn't it already announced?
Lunaracer has never changed its lunar sole... only the upper
I've heard that it has the same sole as the current lunar racer but has a mesh upper and uses dynamic flywire.
Any word on if the fit (width/volume) will change significantly? I have very narrow, low-volume feet and the current Lunaracer fits well.
any word on the montreal?
Just retooling the upper, from my understanding. It won't be a Flyknit upper.
New upper only with a seamless engineered mesh and Dynamic Flywire. Same last as Lunaracer 1 so fit should be similar but with fixes to Achilles problem areas many runners experienced. No plastic overlays at the midfoot either so the upper is softer without losing needed feeling of secure fit. Midsole/Outsole was kept the same as many runners have grown to love the ride.
January release at retail.
Hope you all like it as your feedback over the years fueled this update.

Lunaracer 2 was different, then they went back to the original design since the 2 didn't go over very well. The design they use now is similar to the original, but they don't use that original "lunarfoam" anymore. The original lunarfoam Lunaracers were 1 ounce lighter than the current ones.
I like the lunaracer 2's, have 3 pairs still saved in the box. if i compare them to the lunaracer, the fit was different, but if you look at the bottom... only 1 piece of blown rubber was added and since i've thrown out the original pair of racers i had, i can't recall where it was added to.

There was a piece of carbon rubber added to the lateral forefoot of the lunar racer 2's. I really wish that they kept the same outsole design for the current lunar racers/montreals because I feel like that is exactly where a forefoot striker needs rubber. I can't imagine that one little block adds much weight either.
