Is it enough shoe for the Marathon? Has anyone run in it for a Marathon? Thoughts? Thanks.

"The New Balance RC1600 is a fast flat with an extra dose of style. Colorful, lightweight overlays wrap the upper for a secure fit, and the Revlite midsole is springy and protective. This shoe is light enough for speed work and racing, and has enough cushioning underfoot for a marathon."
I'm wearing them for my fall marathon, shooting for a 2:3x. I think as long as you are light and efficient, you should be ok wearing them. Heck, I've seen people race marathons in the Saucony Type A4s, and those are like running on strips of leather.
Thanks for the feedback. Good Luck with your fall Marathon.
Post how the NB 1600 held up.
I've worn these for multiple marathons and other races too. These have worked well for me and are honestly my favorite pair of shoes I have worn. The colors are a bit funky, but otherwise it is a great shoe.
Not that we are James Carney, but I think this is the shoe he wore for his breakout performace the the Marathon Trials in January. He loves 'em for the Marathon.
Am interested in a pair as well. Best price I have found is $98. Let me know if anyone digs up a coupon or better price.

Haven't they only been out for a short time?
