Anyone know when these will be released to the general public? I have heard July 27th (to coincide with the Olympics), but couldn't find much to back it up online.

Yes the released date IS JULY 27th for both the Racer and the Trainer... BUT here's the kicker: only 18 stores in the U.S.A will have them on this date, and in very short supply... We just got our shipment in today and are looking forward to selling them on Friday... I do not know when other stores will get them but we are expecting to be sold out of them by the end of the weekend if not on Friday.
Awesome, thanks for the info. Does anyone know what stores will have them? Any stores in or near Illinois? Thanks in advance.
Fleet Feet Chicago has been tweeting that they will be the only store selling them in town. Not sure which location.
The racers look pretty sweet. However, the technology doesn't seem all too revolutionary to really be worth the $150 retail price. Does anyone else think that they're worth it, and where could I potentially get a cheaper pair before XC starts in September?
For a road racer I'd much rather have these
As for spikes, I don't see these being much better than the Vics I can get for like 40 bucks right now.
Is there a damn link where I can learn more about these things? All I can find are fashion sites. Nike.com is and has always been a miserable website.
