I was wondering if anyone else has experienced achilles pain after being a long time nike shoe wearer to adidas. More specifically the nike zoom elite to the adidas aegis. Any serious input would be greatly appreciated.

Have you had a change in form recently? From being a heel striker to a front/midfoot runner?
Both the Aegis and Nike Zoom Elites are neutral running shoes. How long have you been running in the Nike Zooms? How many miles do you have in them?
Yes, adidas will kill your body.
I have always been a front/midfoot striker. I've been running in the zoom elites for the last 5 years.
The same Nike Zoom Elites?

no, I've been through about 25 pairs of them.
How many miles do you think you've ran in the last pair you had?
Probably around 600-700. And that's about how many I've put on all of my other pairs.
Well, that is a heck of a lot of miles to put onto one pair of shoes! If you're just now getting a problem, that's impressive, most running shoes last 300-400miles. You're probably just not stretching your calves enough. Making a change from a Nike neutral running shoe to an Adidas neutral shoe won't change to much. Both shoes offer the same heel-toe drop.
Invest in knee-high compression socks, stretch your calves more often than you do, hydrate, get one of these
