I have an idea for a breakthrough shoe design, and have obtained a provisional US Utility patent for it. My goal is to sell the IP for this idea to a major shoe company. I don’t have the money to pay for a non-provisional patent, (or time outside of what my day job requires, or the patent law expertise…at least I don’t think so – filing a provisional patent was fairly uncomplicanted and inexpensive).
I have fabricated and tested prototypes myself, and the concept works, with major payoffs in terms of shoe weight reduction, and foot-to-ground power transfer efficiency.
However, I can’t get through (effectively) to anyone at Nike/Adidas/Asics/Puma/etc. to talk to someone about the potential for this idea, much less talk about selling the IP to them. Anybody got any good contacts at a large shoe company that I can pitch my idea to?
