I found this shoe to have a really sloppy upper. The tongue always slides down to my toes when I'm running and it has a really wide toe box. Overall the shoe did not fit me very well. However, I did like the ride of shoe and how it felt on the road. Its a nice mix between soft and firm for a minimalist shoe. I wouldn't really recommend this shoe for racing.
Got two pair and LOVE 'em. Use 'em for track sessions, fartlek, races, even longer runs. Super-basic, light and comfy. I actually found the toe box a normal if not slightly narrow (I have narrow-med feet).
I used a pair for 5K for about a year. I found the shoe to be very narrow in the forefoot but a good 5K shoe. Now using Mizuno Wave Universe - much better fit for me.
Yeah, very sloppy fit for me too. The upper is too stretchy so my foot slides off the center of the shoe especially downhill or doing speed work. It's ok to practice minimalism running/natural running, but I wouldn't recommend it for racing or speedwork.
