Adidas stopped making real running shoes about 5 years ago. It is sad if you walk into a running store and ask to see what Adidas they have.
Adidas these days seems to be heavily into making performance shoes for real athletes, so I guess if you're an old fart loser with bad biomechanics (heel striker) because you never learned to run right, you might not like them.
Eastbay, list 95 Adidas running shoes, but only 1 for low mileage, and only 7 stability. The vast majority are light weight performance (i.e., real shoes for real athletes). Adidas has a much higher percentage as lightweight performance and trail than does Nike.
The one I have, one of the climacool series, is 7-8 ounces (size 12) on my scale with more cushioning than a flat, but the the overbuild blunderbusses for non-athletes that Nike and New Balance sell. I've had it for about 2 years.
I.e., Adidas schools have a lot to choose from for regular running shoes. The spikes, many from Adidas having very hard plates, are a bit trickier.
