Not at all surprising. That is what people do today. In an attempt to make themselves feel better about their on failures in life, many people thrive off criticizing others' accomplishments, looks, financial status, athletic abilities, etc. Secure, confident, successful individuals don't feel the need to criticize other people on an anonymous message board as a way to elevate themselves.

I don't get this whole thing. Stokke is obviously a pretty talented pole vaulter. She is also IMHO about the most beautiful young woman I have ever seen. She is now. She was last year. And she was several years ago. What's the controversy?
