What is the heel-toe drop for the Nike Zoom Elite+ 5? Runner's World lists it at 11.4mm but others say 9mm. Can anyone confirm this?
Also, how does it feel for you midfoot strikers out there?

Running warehouse has it at 9mm. I'm pretty sure they measure it themselves but I don't know if they measure multiple pairs. Different pairs can vary widely which makes the whole minimalist obsessing over a few millimeters thing hilarious.

I'm clutching my side... that's so funny!
Doubtful different pairs of the same style, measured the same way, would vary by almost 2.5mm. Differences in reported drops are more likely the result of different measuring standards -- placement of calipers, pressure applied, measuring with/without sockliner, etc.

I certainly think the hell--toe drop could vary that much from shoe to shoe. 2.5 mm is not very much. Nike does not release specs like that on their shoes, so RW must be measuring it themselves.
That being said, I'm a midfoot striker and I like the Zoom Elite quite a lot. I'm not picky about heel-toe drop in the slightest, nor do I run in "minimalist" shoes.
There's a pretty strong consensus on 9mm, but I suppose it could vary the larger the shoe size...
It's great for midfoot/forefoot. I love it. Nice bit of cushion, but not sponge, in the front, pretty bare towards the heel.
If you're looking for a minimalist feel, look somewhere else. I don't really like to categorize it as a lightweight trainer (right at 10 oz) even, but instead it is a go-fast type of shoe, that has the protection for the longer runs.
do you realize 2mm is the size of 2 quarters stacked on top of eachother? it makes absolutely no difference, its all marketing..

Confucius speaks wisely...
10mm drop at 21 FF/11 HEEL.
