I'm filling out a shoe testing questionnaire and there is a question asking about the shoe's "ride" and "torsion resistance". What do those terms mean? Thanks.

When I used to test shoes part of the questionnaire had you define what you thought "ride" meant because it's such a subjective thing. That way for each individual tester they could get an accurate idea of how the "ride" was for them instead of pigeon holing everyone into one definition. I always said that to me it was something like "how the shoe feels going from contact with the ground to toe off", then within that definition you can clarify things like flexibility, firmness, etc. Never heard "torsion resistance" though. Out of curiosity what company is this for?
