65?
65:39? Really Hall? And we're sending this guy to the Olympics. Forget medalling he's going to fight just to get into the top 100.
Looks like Meb had a sizable lead from the first 5k and just kept building. Good job Meb on a solid performance!
why race hard on what were solo efforts from before the 5km mark. no need to do anything but finish the race deposit the check go home and have a beer.
Nice run by Kim Smith, for her to be within 5 min of meb and within 3 min of Hall, says quite a bit.
Jeez, I know Hall has run pretty bad tune-ups in the past, but 65:39?!? I think he'll still show up and run well in London, but even he has to be surprised to see a time that slow.
Was anyone at the race? Was Hall actually working, or just jogging?
He said in a flotrack interview that he would be treating this race like a tempo.
Hall needs a real coach. Not to disrespect his faith or anything but God is not a fvcking marathon coach. Hall has no idea what he is doing and his times are only going to be getting worse.
No good, a tempo run for him should be at around 4:50 pace not 5 minute pace.
He should be able to cruise a 63:30-64:00.
Hall was obviously just doing it for the appearance fee. No need to get your panties in a bunch.
Remember that Flotrack video of Hall running a faster pace in NY by himself?

Exactly, that's not even a good tempo run today. Especially since he slowed down a lot by the end. Don't have the splits here in front of me right now, but I think his last 5K was about 17 minutes.
I was standing about 100m before the finish. Ryan actually did not appear to be running like someone who is pushing the limit. He had his trademark (I think) wide open, powerful stride; didn't really look all that tired. Maybe it was just a tempo, who knows.
This was no tempo day for him, he went out at 4:45 pace and then slowed down gradually to about 5:30 pace.

^^^THIS.
He looks absurd. He should get a hair cut before the olympics.
Hall had a bad tempo run? HE'S DONE!!!!
Within the first minute of the interview he says he has plantar fasciitis since November and it's really giving him problems. His hamstring is now also hurting.
How you guys can even justify this as a tempo run is beyond me. He is a sub 60 half marathoner and 2:04 marathoner. He should be able to run 62:30 comfortably as a workout.
He's injured and it's fairly obvious he's behind schedule.
