An old house, perhaps? A cemetery?
An old house, perhaps? A cemetery?
One of the donors at the plasma bank where I work once told me about his friend's haunted house. Said he spent the night there and his friend insisted he wouldn't go upstairs after dark. The donor said he went up there and there were ghosts just floating around all misty and legless. Said there were a ton of ghosts.
I told him I never go on the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney World BEFORE dark because it's boring.
My answer is the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney World.

Yep an old house. Where a murder had taken place, guy had murdered his step-daughter in the house and then offed himself.
I lived there for a long time before encountering her ghost. But, damned if she didn't appear.
The thing is, I don't believe in ghosts, but...damned if she didn't appear.
I talked to her, and told her I was sorry for what happened to her, and that it wasn't right and I hoped she found peace.
And, damned if she didn't just disappear...
You guys are idiots for thinking you have seen ghosts, do you know how rare they are? My grandmas house had one, didnt cause any problems, except it killed my sister
lol
Creepy!
My wife's vagina. I get out that way about once a year. It's desolate and dusty and deserted. When I'm there I hear creaking sounds, brief muted moans and horrible painful shrieks. It really freaks me out and I get a sick feeling in my gut and have to get out of there as quickly as I can.
*shudders*
"Most haunted location" as defined by popular belief or by my own experience? If you mean by popular definition, then St. Louis cemetery in New Orleans. If by my own experience, the answer is a crusty old motel on the beach in St. Augustine, FL.
I don't believe in ghosts anymore... but... it was in my childhood home. It was so scary that the memory is seared into my mind even thought I was a very young toddler.
I remember laying in my crib which was next to my parent's bed and looking out through the doorway into the living room. I would see a stereotypical ghost which looked like someone with a white sheet over it floating and transparent. Each time I saw it, it would take away my ability to cry, move or make a sound. Physically, I couldn't even move a finger except to breathe and close my eyes. On the last occasion that it presented itself, I kept closing my eyes tightly until I thought it was gone. Once it released me, I literally jumped from my crib into my mom's bed, a distance of about 7 feet, landing on top of my mother. No more crib after that.
Later on, in my teenage years, whenever I found myself in that state between being half asleep and half awake and unable to move... I would struggle mightily until I would wake up.
Now, I'm just a bitter old SOB and a ghosts avoid me like the plauge.

I wasn't trolling.
Seriously, don't ruin my thread.
DO YOU BELIEVE IN DEMONS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I'm not sure.

I'm being 100% honest... I've told that story a million times because it actually happened to me. My mother didn't believe me either until later on in life when I was still talking about it. If there are such things as ghosts, I think kids are more susceptible for obvious reasons.
Myself and two fellow college students went away for a weekend to make a documentary about the myth of the a witch which has haunted some woods in Birkettsville and supposedly killed children many years ago. we interviewed Birkettsville residents and collected different accounts of the Witch. Eventually we went into the woods ourselves armed with a map, a tent and a couple of camcorders.
After spending a night in the woods, the next day we all reported hearing strange things during the previous night but put it down to animals etc. As the day progressed we found strange objects hanging in the trees, and weird rock formations. we eventually lost the map and were lost so we set up camp again. Eventually after many strange, unnerving goings on, one of my classmates disappeared. Eventually after scaring ourselves shitless we came across a house which appeared to be derelict, we went inside looking for our lost group member, we discovered childrens hand prints all over. After realising we were not alone we got killed and the footage of our weekend was found a year later.
That movie is awesome!
what movie?
The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colo.
I was checking in there and the girl behind the counter asked "Are you here for the ghosts?" I gave her a WTF? look and she explained that they get all sorts of people there for the supposed ghosts. It's a creaky old wooden hotel where Stephen King wrote "The Shining," although the movie was filmed somewhere else. Because it's old and creaky there are lots of noises at night when it's windy and if you had an overactive imagination I suppose you might think it's haunted, but I'm a skeptic.
If you like cool old stuff, it's worth staying there, but personally, I wouldn't count on seeing ghosts.
Hey GA1! Thanks for the invite! This thread is my kinda place, huh? Haha. I guess you could call me a resident expert, being a ghost and all. Anyways, I'm just glad I can contribute something. I like LETSRUN ok I guess, but being stuck here indefinitely gets kinda lame.
Back when I was alive I never really saw any ghosts or anything, but I lived in some reportedly haunted places that were pretty creepy. When me and my wife first got married we lived in a house owned by a church. They let us live there for a while rent free while we looked for a more permanent place. We lived in the basement, and a pastor lived upstairs with his wife and young daughter. Anyways, one day I happened to noticed there were faint cross-shaped markings above many of the doorways in the home. Looked like they were done with oil.
I asked the pastor about it and he said the church had the home "blessed" or something because he and his family had been experiencing some things that they felt indicated demonic presence in the home. Faces in picture frames changing in eerie ways, unusually cold temperatures in their daughter's room at night when she would wake up screaming that scary men were talking to her, the pastor waking up one night to a dark figure holding a noose who then vanished, etc. Upon telling people at the church who owned the home, they learned a previous tenant had killed themselves in the home after experiencing similar things. So they blessed the house and put oil cross markings above all the doorways. My wife and I were there for about 2-3 months, but never experienced anything strange or frightening.
A few years later we bought a house and after we had been there for a few weeks we learned that a teenage girl had killed herself in an upstairs bathroom. Again though, we never experienced any strange paranormal activity there.
Cheers!
