No. Nor would I respect anyone who would.
Awesome, thank you.
There are millions (billions?) of people in the world who live quite happily below what we might call the poverty line. They also have very low carbon footprints.
You would have to be dead to have zero carbon footprint. So, no, I wouldn't strive for that.

People in materially poor countries do not live happily. Those who idealize the primitive like to pretend as much.

Having traveled to many places where people are very poor, but also very happy, you would be incorrect.
No

Traveling somewhere doesn't make you an expert on anything. You're simply a fool.
No, and if you took a legitimate survey, I bet the number of yes answers you got would be smaller than your margin of error. You might as well ask people if they would be celibate if it gave you a zero C footprint. Any knowledge of human nature predicts the outcome of the survey.
The best way to limit human carbon emissions would be massive war, famine, plague or pestilence, because it ain't happening voluntarily.
It seems to me that many people make zero effort to reduce their environmental impact by arguing that having no impact is impossible. Do what you can to reduce your footprint while still living comfortably. I think there is a difference between living a comfortable life and living a coddled life. For example, you don't always need to drive an SUV with the AC on full blast to the post office when you could walk half a mile there and back.
People in hot climates like AC
People in cold climates like having homes that are warm
Deal with it
To go a bit further, I suspect the emphasis on short-term comfort has at least something to with things such as our obesity problem. I can't believe how many (often young) people I see sitting on riding mowers to but the grass on their tiny front lawn because they're afraid on breaking a sweat or having sore feet.
No. Any feelings of esteem I might gain from the good intentions of reducing my 11MT annual CO2 footprint to zero would be negated by the knowledge that my efforts would be offset by China's CO2 emissions in 0.042 seconds.
Hell no. Is this a serious question?
you would even have a C footprint after you assumed room temperature.
No. This is bull shit.
