Maybe a neutral trainer with a wide platform that doesn't have as much softness
I train predominantly in the Saucony Ride with the Brooks Launch and the Saucony Kinvara being my 2nd and 3rd most worn shoes (not including my trail shoes, the Xodus 3.0).
I would try the new Kinvara 3's. They are awesome and definitely don't have that "mushy" feeling that you can get with the Launch. IMO.
