Just wondering who the top juniors in the country are. We all know of Cheserek and Bernie montoya. Who else? What will footlocker XC look like next year?

Jake Leingang is a beast from North Dakota, I think. Fourth at FL last year and third (9:01) at brooks PR this winter. He's shown he can mix it up with the big boys.
Erin Finn of West Bloomfield, Mich. Footlocker National girls runnerup in cross in December; smashed the U.S. high school girls indoor 5000 record by more than 15 seconds in New York this winter with a 16:19.69.
ben malone
jacob burcham
Blake Haney (soph)
Pretty good national rankings:
Sean McGorty 4:12
Patrick Joseph 4:13
Nick Link 9:11
Ronnie Calkins 9:11
tom coyle of lasalle high school in pa ran a 412 1600m split at penn relays and a 416 indoors. look for him on the big stage next year
Connor Mora and Tanner Hinkle of Michigan are up there
Mora 4:13 1600
Hinkle 9:14 3200
For a state with less than ideal conditions, great times
Andres Arroyo out of Florida has some of the sickest range i've seen. 14:595k XC, 9:10 3200, 4:11 1600, 1:51.04 open 800 (probably faster in 4x8 split's since his team is 7:40!), and he's split 49 in 4x4's before! deffinitily one of the nation's top milers next year
Thomas Madden 8:59 and Footlocker Finalist along with McGorty
(thought Madden was a senior)
Amos Bartelsmeyer, from St. Louis, MO, has run 4:12.94, 1:54.79, and 49.85. He is a beast of a middle distance runner.
This would be my QUICK current list for Juniors in XC next year... didn't take into account altitude adjustments or any state XC meets, just track times and NXN/FLN Final races during the 2011-2012 school year. The one exception is including Andres Arroyo, since he should obviously be included. Note, though, that with such a strong Soph class this year... not all these guys will necessarily make it to nationals in either event they choose.
Included are (IMO conservative) projected times for nationals, if the courses run the same as they did this year.

Sophomore Kai Wilmot has run 4:18 1600m & 8:57 3200m.
What do you think the FL meet will look like next year including kids of all ages so current sophs (will be juniors) and put them into the list of the kids above?

Impossible to say without knowing what kids plan to go to FLN or NXN. Several of those listed, though, are almost certainly going to NXN (Fayetteville-Manlius, Southlake Carroll, Christian Brothers, Davis, American Fork, Bismarck, and Stillwater are all probably going to very serious threats to qualify as teams, and a couple of the others are potentially threats as well)
Did this pretty quick, very well could have missed some runners... I apparently did last time.
Didn't check the Footlocker Regional races or most of the state meets either. So this is mostly track '12, and XC Nationals '11, plus Arroyo.
Marks from XC assume modest improvement.
Times are set to "FLN 2011 - NXN 2011"

Nick Ryan, FM, 9:04 3200 last weekend at the Oneida Invite. Every few years an Aris senior jumps from great to champion in one or two championship races. I'm putting my money on Aris having him at low to mid 8:50s by end of season.
Ryan also ran 4:14 1600 a few weeks back, and for a guy his size, this is more impressive to me than his 3200. If he goes that route, I'd be surpirsed with a huge jump, but sub 4:10 Is certainly realistic for him.
As a senior, this kid could do very big things. He is a strength runner, in a strength program. Would be great to see him join Hatz at Wisco Under Byrne in 2013.
Connor Sorrells (Barr-Reeve, IN) -- 4:13/9:02 already this year -- still early in Indiana since the state tournament hasn't started. (Interesting note: Barr-Reeve is a school with about 300 total kids).
Troy Reeder (Hamilton Southeaster, IN) -- 4:10/9:13 and 3rd in Indiana in cross country this year. (Watchout: he should be on your list; that 3200 time is from a dual meet and would drop against competition).
Also:
Matt Dorsey (Lawrence Central) 4:11
Jacob Poyner (Warsaw) 4:12
Those two are good milers right now but aren't expected to be national-level XC guys.

The list cuts off at equivalents of about 9:05 for 3200m... that's why Sorrell's 9:02 only gets him #30.
I used these cut-offs to get my top 37:
NXN - 16:01.09
FLN - 15:50.69
5k - 14:42.45
2 Mile - 9:08.25
3200m - 9:05.00
3k - 8:27.64
Mile - 4:06.71
1600m - 4:05.25
1500m - 3:48.44
Also, note that I accidentally included Diffee twice (#27 is the lower mark). So move everyone at #28+ up one and add in Omar Caro (Notre Vista CA) @ 15:38/15:48 for his 9:04.68 (3200m).
