No more Pro Bowl, it seems.
No more Pro Bowl, it seems.
They should just suspend the NFL.
A suspicious coincidence that they will suspend a Pro Bowl game in which no one even hits another player that is scheduled for New Orleans, the place where the coaches pay their players extra to injure others with illegal hits.
Worth noting that, IIRC, the Pro Bowl used to be a decent payday for the guys who made it.
With contracts now ~~100 times as large as they used to be, I wonder whether there's much monetary incentive to play in the game (I know that there are frequently *contractual* incentives to be NAMED to the Pro Bowl squad).
It's not like anyone actually PLAYED hard in the Pro Bowl. It has long made for a terribly boring game that no one watched anyway. Oh well.
I believe that TV ratings were considered decent.
