The last thread was apparently very offensive to the mysterious entity that moderates this board, so it was deleted. But Ryan Hall finally posted the big news he was talking about: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1694465205/the-41st-day

That's a BS position for you and them to take. And here's why.
I'm in. This is going to be really cool.

Do you really live in Cleveland Park?
Yes. I live in Cleveland Park.
Perhaps OP should have emailed Brojo's and asked them to get behind the project like that other guy did instead of creating a thread with somewhat deceptive title.
I'm a Hall fan but doesn't the dude get enough money from running. Why does he need people's money to do it.

Because he is not a movie producer.
What if someone came to you and was like, "Hey, we'd love to make a movie about your Olympic training, but you have to fund it."
Yeah.
I hate comments like yours... Just because someone has money doesn't mean they want to fund anything and everything. Maybe he is saving up for a trust for his kids. I mean, hell we are heading into an economic collapse, so maybe he is using all of his cash to build a high-altitude bunker.

Man...just $10,000 gives you "Executive Producer" credit at the end of the film. While I know that really means nothing, that's kind of cool. If my kids were through college already (for I still don't know what we will have to lay out for college), I'd really consider doing that.

Flagpole, this is going to be some cut-rate documentary like 5000 Meters, Nothing Comes Easy. I mean, it is cool and all to watch, but no one gives 2 shits about who made the thing. That's like paying $10 grand to be listed in the liner notes of your town's local CCR cover band.
"... Ryan needs to do something that has alluded him his whole career..."
Yikes.
I'm pretty sure the donations are going towards the making of the film: The two dudes making it have probably invested so much money and time for this. Travel, equipment, editing, etc...that stuff cost SO much.
I gave a few dollars - good to support these things. I gave to the native american project too.
I like the idea of supporting struggling artists as much as I like the idea of supporting running.
double whammy, these.
I think you are being too negative. Ryan Hall announced that he will have big news. The "the big news" deserves a thread on here even if it is soliciting funds.

Yeah. I know. That's why I said, "While I know that really means nothing...". It's still kind of cool though. Like I said, if I were in a different time in my life, I'd consider giving money.

I bet the signed poster would look pretty nice on my wall. Wonder what the signed shoes would be worth if he won gold?
I'm in no way supporting this or asking for pledges (I didn't donate). I just thought other people might care what the big news turned out to be.

Less than what they would be worth at the local Fleet Feet.

Yes, I am being negative. What 'news' did Ryan Hall announce? This link is all about Tim Jeffreys.

I really think the OP is being honest and did not post this as an ad.
Ryan Hall has indeed been tweeting that he had "big news" for the past couple days -- there was even some speculation about what it would be on some threads here at LetsRun
Then today he tweeted saying he could finally share the big news and posted the same link given by the OP.
I don't think it goes against the terms of service to share the link... since it is indeed the "big news" Ryan has been tweeting about...
Here is the same "news" on Runner's World
http://news.runnersworld.com/2012/04/05/ryan-hall-documentary-is-in-the-works/
(oops hope that does not count as an ad too)...
