Looks like his daughter was waiting to give him his medal at the finish line, but LA was to bent after a bad bonk to let his daughter have a little fun. Classy guy.

Typical selfish prick.
So he bonked and started walking and finished the run in 1:22. For those who thought his 1:16 was phony in Panama, I think this shows that it was legit, and that he could legitimately run a 1:14-1:15 half. And keep in mind these runs are after a swimming and riding.
Everyone was joking about how slow Lance looked running that 1:16 in Panama, but his stride is misleading on video. Now, yesterday, after bonking--that's when he looked slow. Really slow. But still ran a 1:22.
I tip my cap to the guy for being that competitive at basically a new sport and at age 40, but I think he's got a long way to go before he could compete at Kona this year. He's up against Father Time, but I think he's rushing it if he's thinking about Kona '12.
How do you know that was his daughter? He clearly didn't see her.
Without fail, Lance Armstrong will be bashed on these boards.

Article said it was his daughter. You can see her yelling "Dad, Dad, Dad!" after him.
There was also an article about how Lance cold-shouldered the guy who won Panama after the race.
I can understand Lance being a prima donna when he was a GC rider on the tour. If there is ever a time in life to be a prima donna, that is it. But, why can't he just let his guard down a little and show a little humility and class in the Tri scene? It's kinda sad. I think the pro triathlete are pumped that he is giving the sport attention and would welcome him with open arms if he wasn't such a . . . .
Do you know him personally? Have you taken your personal time and made personal efforts to raise millions and millions of dollars for charity? Selfish? Really???
There's probably a simple explanation for this...
He was tired and out of it.
Having done a few tri's myself, I can say that going 3:54.xx is a phenomenal time, and it was just his 2nd 1/2 Iman ever. Lance will be fine once he figures out the pacing, nutrition, and hydration...especially the hydration. Remember, this was south TX, and where it was very hot and humid yesterday.
As for ignoring his daughter, I'm sure he didn't even see her. After a very hard 5-hour effort, I'm sure a bit of tunnel vision ensued, and all Lance was thinking about was getting to the aid tent for some fluids and a message. Betcha shortly after the video stopped, he gave her a big, sweaty hug.
I like how that guy sprinting past him acts like he just won the Boston Marathon. F.ucking tool.

What is the diff in the prize money? For a pro tri guy that extra $ might mean something. The cash would not matter to Lance.

How can one be so ignorant? What about the SEC investigation into the cahrity's tax filings?
What about the dubious .com/.org hickup and the share deal for the .com?
Jet fuel to Australia, a short speaking appearance and then netting 7-digit figures for a race _personally_?
Selfish he seems indeed! Please spare us your mislead fanboyism!
Black socks -- do I need to say more? Would you like to be in SImeoni's shoes?

After one particularly ugly marathon finish, my wife asked if I had seen her leaning out of the grandstand yelling as I approached the finish line, to which I replied, "What grandstand?" At that point there is nothing in the world but crossing the finish line. Honestly, I wonder if some of the posters here have actually ever run a race.
The small (tastefully done) fist pump bothered you? I guess if you finished 6th in a competitive half marathon and ran down Lance (kinda cool to do that) at the finish, you would be emotionless.
I'll find out who the 6th place guy was and tell him to act like he has been there before.
It's been interesting to follow his training on strava. Who knows if it's all of it, but from what you can see: about 200 mpw on the bike and about 50 mpw running. He does a lot of run/bike doubles and occasional run only doubles. I think he's right about needing to lose weight. That would probably help him the most... he looks huge.
He also posts his races on strava. He started at about 5:50 pace in the half and then faded hard...
Look guy, their is A LOT of circumstantial evidence on doping surrounding this guy; A LOT. Point being, I think most folks reading this message board don't care one way or another what he did in his latest tri stunt.
"there"
ahahaha i couldn't stop laughing about that guy sprinting at the end to beat Armstrong that was hilarious!!! I woulda done the same thing he should just get over it.

Lance looks ok and gives a stranger in the crowd a high five right before he gets passed at the finish. When he sees that he got nipped at the finish, his demeanor totally changes. You can tell he is totally pissed and wants to get out of there. Even with all the crowd noise, you can actually hear his daughter yelling for him after he blows past her.
A decent guy would have been gracious with the guy who past him at the finish and congratulated him. A decent guy would also stop for his daughter and not walk off like a little kid who just found out that he won't get to go out for pizza after the little league game.
