Very sad. It sounds like he was a genuinely nice guy that just liked to run above all else.
RIP. At least he died doing what he loved.
It's unfortunate. His body was found at around 6pm tonight.
RIP Caballo
Foul Play!
The strange thing is that his body was found with no obvious signs of injury. RIP Caballo Blanco.
Probably died of heat exhaustion/ dehydration. So sad...
Yeah, it doesn't sound like there's any reason to suspect it wasn't natural causes
That's a shame. These "healthy runners die of natural causes at young ages" stories are spooky.
RIP Micah True
This is sad news. All the best to Maria Walton.
no sh*t man,
where the hell are the statistics that show that running makes you impervious to heart disease? I just read in the Coe/Martin book that concluded this from a sample size of 1 on page 107. I'm just speculating that it was a heart incident that caused this.
RIP Micah True
My heart goes out to those you leave behind.
I was an honour to meet the man. Genuine. Unique. Sincere. Special.
RIP white horse. your tales, led someone to write a book that saved my feet. thank you
Incredible coincidence. I came to this website because I am, right now, right this minute, reading the book 'Born to run', and this site was mentioned in the book. To come here and hear the news that the central character in the book just died today is too tragic to comprehend. It feels like I have been cheated out of a treat after looking forward to it for many years.
That's the true tradgedy then isn't it? That someone like him passes and you get to go on making selfish comments that are disrespectful. The bell just rang, go back to study hall.
I'm one of 'those' who came back to running after reading the book. Running has given me a lot of joy and meaning since then, and I literally wouldn't be doing it without his example. They definitely broke the mold when they made him.
RIP Micah, was very sad to see this news this morning. Truly a good person
It's been on the leading NPR story all day. Here's their take:

Thanks for a great link. I wonder if having his legs in the cool stream means he was over heated and trying to recover. I've always thought that would be a rather spiritual way to go. Almost in a dream-like state.
