Atsedu is register for Paris Marathon in two weeks!
Amazing, that is way up there on the all-time list. Don't know about doing that two weeks before a marathon, but I guess we'll see.
After he finished he said that he would have broken the world record hadnt there been a strong headwind. The weather was really bad this year.
very impressive I suspect he will be in hunt for the win at Paris in several weeks.
2:04-2:05 seeming quite possible.

Yawn. East African runs fast time. Tell me if you haven't heard this story before.

Zero chance at Paris.
UNFORTUNATELY TRUE
The guy is amazing, he's only 14 too.

Winds have absolutely no impact on results as was thoroughly proven after Boston.

Nah, not true.
What the experts told us about Boston was that headwinds to slow down a runner, but tailwinds don't speed a runner up.
Pretty simple stuff really.
Or was it tailwinds don't affect Africans but headwinds do? I can't remember what Canova said now.
I was on the media lead car throughout the race, and can tell you this was a very impressive run given the conditions. The wind was very strong, the course has a number of small hills (although by no means hilly), the footing isn't very good with substantial stretches of cobblestones and steel tram tracks which caused the athletes to constantly adjust their racing line to avoid stepping on them. Tsegay ran the full course as certified with no corner cutting.

Your story might be good but that's a terrible webpage.
The print is tiny and the frame can't even be seen all at once. It's necessary to keep moving the page back and forth at the beginning and end of each line. Expanding the size of the print makes this worse. Clicking "view this frame only" doesn't work, because the page is set to kick back to all frames and won't show just the one frame. Is there really a story on there anyway? I have better things to do with my time.

Living in Addis Ababa and only running three years, Tsegay reminded reporters that his modest 13:51.0 5000m personal best was set in Ethiopia's thin air, and that his career was just beginning.
Umm... yeah right.
