This article got me thinking about this:
If Kentucky played the worst NBA team (probably Charlotte) and both teams played all out with none of their players injured, would it even be slightly competitive? Would the Bobcats win by 50?

It would be a lopsided victory for the NBA team.
I saw Kentucky play two games last weekend in the Georgia Dome, against Indiana and Baylor, and I think they could hang with a bad NBA team. This KY team is way better than any other team in college basketball, and they are extremely quick. I would think the Bobcats would win 9 times out of 10, but not by a blowout.

KU has two sure thing NBA players, but neither would start -- even for Charlotte -- right now.
I picked OSU to win the whole thing. So no, they are not an nba team.

The Bobcats have 3 NBA players on their roster and none of them would start on any other NBA team. The Bobcats are not physically capable of scoring more than 90 points in a 48 point game. They would lose to UK.
48-minute game?
Wizards 150 - Wildcats 50. Wall would destroy all of their guards and Lewis would kill Davis down low. It would be a huge blow out. Kentucky would encounter pick and rolls faster than anything they have ever seen, the speed would kill them on both ends.

Yeah the NBA plays 4 12 minute quarters. Grand total of 48 minutes.
Having seen both the Bobcats and the Wildcats play in person a couple of times each this year, my money is on the Wildcats. Either way it will be a cat fight (see what I did there?)
This would be the scenario

Depends on whose game they play....
I saw Australian club teams beat some of the top collegiate teams because they were intimidated by the international game. I've seen "smart" teams beat physically superior teams. think Princton teams of teh 80's and early 90's that knocked out several pretty good teams in teh first round of the tournament.
It would not surprise me to see a close game or Kentucky win one game. If it was series of games the pros win the series.

I also think it depends on the court they play.
If the game is in Rupp Arena, I don't see UK losing in a one game match up. Although, I bet it would be tough for UK fans to not cheer for Wall.
90% correct... 50% of the time wrote:

The Bobcats have 5 NBA starters, the Wildcats have none. Bobcats in a blowout.
In track, the best college relay teams can beat the relay teams of most countries and some collections of American pros.
Texas A&M ran 38.38 and 3:00.45 last year.
That put them high on the world list for both events.
The Bobcats would probably win in a blowout. Think about it. All of the players on the bobcats were college stars minus like Euro guys. Every single one.

This is not exactly comparable because the professional relay teams don't pratice together
If any of the UK guys could hang with the pros, they'd be doing it right now instead of playing college ball.

No. They have to wait one year from HS graduation before they can play in the NBA. A couple of them will play in the NBA next year. I predict the score would be 118 - 67, Bobs for the win.
Except they are freshman and the NBA makes you to go college for a year, so they would if they could, but they can't because of the rules, not talent.

If it's NBA rule, Kentucky will have no chance. They won't be able to keep up for the entire game.
With college rule, Kentucky will have a chance by slowing down the game, but that's not Kentucky's strength as they're better at high tempo game so it won't give Kentucky much advantage by slowing down the game. But at least they'll have a chance, but not much of a chance.
