he would be a good addition to the group, and salazar has proven his coaching abilities. i think it would be a good fit

what 800 runners has salazar coached to world class?
this will be his first
he had a 1500m runner drop a crap ton of time so why not?
What makes you think that Salazar is the only coach in OP? Schumacher and Rowland also coach for the same outfit (if different groups). Rowland coaches/advises Symmonds and Robbie is definitely not the same type of runner as Rupp or Farah.
I don't care where (or to whom) Andrews goes, but to assume that AlSal is the go to guy is rather short-sighted - all could be a good fit as all are good coaches.
Maybe he should go with Vigilante (and Webb) as then he doesn't have to travel across the country!! Vig also knows him - since he coached him at UVA.

Nope
ODP != OTC
little bird told me he was headed closer to home. NY/NJ TC and gags is where he's most likely headed.
He is transferring. He is not turning pro. If I was him, given where he's from, I'd seriously consider Rutgers and train with Gags. The other choice would be something like George Mason (if he was turning pro) and train with Vigilante.
The Oregon fans are once again showing their Idiocy Quotients. I think Robby has too much brainpower to fall for the Oregon crap.

Would not be bad choice, Gags has produced more world-class athletes than Salazar, Schumacher and Rowland combined. Coach Cook would another good option; OTP is not the only game in town.
Parents have to support most of the athletes in Eugene and Portland the stipend is on par with the Chinese pay rates and culture of Nike's true owners. I think Robby will be a real pro, demand a pro's salary with Vig as his coach.

I just don't see him transferring to Rutgers to run. Financially it doesn't make sense. He can go pro, pay for his college, and still have money left over each year.
So he could go pro and run for Gags. Rutgers doesn't have some incredible progrma.
If he transfers anywhere he has to be getting something from running he can't get as a pro. I don't see that anywhere. You could try and argue if he goes to Oregon he becomes part of the Oregon mystique and that somehow helps him. I personally don't see it and see it more as running for Nike at a discount. What if he doesn't make the Olympic team this year? Strike while the iron is hot.
If Andrews transfers anywhere, expect that place to also announce the hiring of a Mr. Vigilante.
As an 800/1500m guy, I wouldn't want to be coached by anyone else.
