I thought I finally start my first interval of my comeback attempt but I totally forgot I don't have a digital watch anymore. The last time I owned one was like mid 1990s. A Casio with like 40 lap memory which was a somewhat big deal back then. I remember I liked this watch over Ironman because it had a countdown timer that rings and starts again. I used to have it ring off every 200 meters so I don't have to look at the watch. I also liked to see how far past each 200 meters I go before it rings.
Thinking of either buying a cheap watch from Kohl's or splurging $200 for Nike GPS watch.
What benefits are there? I am really afraid I am going to OCD on the paces even training runs. I stop wearing watches even when I was in college for distance runs.
Do you guys find it helpful to have current pacing available all through out the run? How do you not drive yourself crazy?
