July is the planned retail release.
I just hope it isn't as narrow as all the other supposed Nike distance racers.
Thanks Shoebacca,
I am a Nike user because I do have a narrow foot:)
Was hoping it would be available in time for Boston :(

It probably will be.
For the leaders!
What is the narrowest nike road racer? I have basically never found a shoe narrow enough for me. the streak xc 3 is close, but I can only use for 5k and less.
Any beefier Nike racers (or trainers) that are very narrow?
Flyknit Racer fit will be similar to Lunaracer without the heel irritation issues many folks had. It also offers better midfoot fit with a new version of Flywire called Dynamic Flywire. This Flywire is more free floating to better adjust to the runner's foot.
how does it compare to the nike free 3.0?

About 14 months ago I started running in the Nike Lunaracers and it's the only shoe I use now (40+ mpw, no racing). I have narrow feet and I like the fit a lot. I'm really hoping the next version isn't much different.
I train in the Lunar Racer as well. How is the sole compared? I never liked the Streak XC sole, much preferred the Lunar. What is this one going to be like?
Different last but similar slim and low bulk feel around the foot. Flyknit Racer has a roomier vamp than Free 3.0 which is a bit shallow/tight for some folks.
Lunaracer for the bulk of my everyday running. It is the only Nike I have had to go up 1/2 size so for me it is the most narrow. I am right handed but my left foot is larger; my normal size in the LR causes problems only for the pinkie toe on the left side.I wear the Zoom Streak XC for 5k up to marathon and track workouts in my usual size with no problems.

There is another thread suggesting that the Flyknit Racer will being using the zoom streak material for the midsole. It looks like the Flyknit Trainers will have the Lunarlon material. So, I'm thinking the Flyknit will be a lot like the Zoom Streak 3... but about 20% lighter maybe better fitting. I want them now.

The FlyKnit Racer will have a compressed foam midsole material (phyon, similar to what's in the Air Streak) and it will have a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot. The HTM FlyKnit Trainer will have a Lunarlon midsole. Both styles will be available in July.
There's going to be a Streak 4, also.
There's a pair of the flyknit trianers on ebay right now. Its going for like 355 dollars. The seller posted pictures and the midsole/outsole look to be the same as the lunar racer.
The trainers can be yours for $997!!! Pretty hot, though.
I saw them at the Tokyo Nike store yesterday. Interesting concept and cool tech but I don't think the final execution is really great. They look and feel rough (I wouldn't wear them barefoot) and have a hand made look.
The racers are over 5.5 oz so it's not like they are the lightest flats out there.
Good old Nike marketing!
i tested a pair of the racers and while i didn't much care for the last (felt the arch was too high), the midsole was most similar to the streak XC.
the flyknit upper? amazing, simply amazing. though don't go sockless unless you want bits of road/trail grime rubbing your foot wrong.

Wasn't the original Lunaracer about the same weight? A bit under 6 oz? It got heavier once they replaced the lunarfoam with Lunarlon.
