Just read about the new Garmin 910XT online. Has anyone tried it out? Pros? Cons? Reviews?
I'm curious about the barometric altimeter.

got it here
awesome so far, but i've only used it a few times so far, like the trend of these bad boys getting more and more like normal watches. I don't need a laptop strapped to my wrist.
The biggest problem I have had with previous versions is the HRM spiking at the start of my run, in colder weather before I start sweating. I tend to under dress, so it can take me a mile/mile and a half to warm up.
It sounds like this may be resolved with the new heart-rate strap.
I just got the 910xt and so far the battery life is great and it is def worth the investment. I had the 310xt before this and they are quite similar.

You need to get the HR strap wet. Even better than water, is foamy soap. Ever since I've been doing this, my HR no longer spikes at the beginning of runs or races. If I'm away from any faucet or soap, just spit a big loogie on each side.
