So i made the mistake of watching "Dog the Bounty Hunter" for the first time last night. I have more than a few issues with this show.
First of all, they all wear badges despite the fact that they are just civilians with no connection to law enforcement. similarly, they go around waving paper saying they have arrest warrants, and also that these warrants they claim to have give them the right to search anyones homes. The one guy even goes around wearing a bullet-proof vest that say "agent" on the back. "agent of what?" one might imagine.
But the piece de resistance of the show for me was the "wrap-up" after they caught the guy they were looking for. Dog is talking to the camera about what a good job they did and how they "were able to take a really dangerous criminal off the street." There is seemingly no mention that the only reason this "dangerous criminal" was on the street in the first place was that they put him there.
how can this show possibly be a hit.
