Interesting but I just don't know. Some of what the guy says does make sense. Towards the last 3rd of the video where he is training a guy from 1970s show with all kinds of stretches. I don't think I am even close hitting that kind of flexibility.

This guy is full of it with his "microfiber" reduction crap. The fact that he's using a vid as dated to "prove" his method is good shows how I'll of bs he is. His tall about ritz is theoretical at best, ritz could be faster if he fixed up some things here and there but he would not magically be able to run under or even close to two hours.
At most, all the guy is doing is breaking up adhesions and scar tissue in some areas to free up his range of motion and restore that lost range rather than improve it as he says he does. You can also improve your range of motion, temporarily, by pressing down on your knee caps and notice how you not only see what the guy does to improve the guys range of motion but he doesn't even show the before and afters of the guy running his 400m
Pay no attention to this hack as he is running a scheme making people pay ridiculous amounts of money for one session of his "microfiber" reduction when all you really need is deep tissue massage
I would love to overstride a 2:09:55 marathon.
I never get tired of watching that video.
Can somebody tweet or send this to Ritz? I would love to see his reaction.
that's the same nutjob that compared Solinsky's stride in the middle of a race to some Kenyan sprinting at the end. It was retarded, this is retarded, and the guy is obviously a scammer.
maybe. adibi definitely had a different stride than either hall, meb, or ritz. i know that salazar put a lot of work into changing ritz's stride, to make it more like a sprinter's. (article in new yorker.)
people need to realize that you can't infinitely engineer your stride.
you can alter your stride rate, foot strike placement, body lean angle and such, but you can't engineer an average athlete's athleticism into that of a great athlete.
your basic anatomical form and structure categorize you, and you'll improve running form within those parameters, but it's not possible to jump to a higher-functioning category.
a great example of this is stride angle: you can widen it a bit as your body develops during growth into adulthood by getting physically stronger and a stronger neuro-muscular function. but your gross anatomical structure will determine your "athletic ceiling" when it comes to stride angle.
all things being equal, if your anatomy allows a few more degrees of angle, you pull away and win.
What is the Microfiber reduction technique? Some sort of massage?
Well said. We do the best with what we have. Each racer has his own challenges.

Shalane HOPPED her way along and Desi SHUFFLED her way along and they both completed 26.2 miles within a few seconds of each other.
