Anybody have any experience with these spikes? I ordered the victories through my school for anything from 400-1500 (mostly just 800 and 1500), but there is a chance I might occasionally want to try something longer 3000-5k.
First of all, would the victory do well at the 5k or would that be risking it.
I can get the MR1000 fairly inexpensive. It's lightweight. Even if I don't use it for many races, I feel like it wouldn't be very smart to use victories for a lot of track workouts. I figure a spike like the MR1000 would be much more durable and could handle track workouts.
How are the MR1000's in regards to flexibility? They aren't very aggressive (which is fine for a long distance spike) but the full length plastic underneath concerns me. I've never owned a pair of track spikes before, (only ran XC in high school), so any advice would be appreciated. Would the victories be enough for longer distances and for use in several workouts?
